This site is meant to be a link between us and our users. We know how many caveats there are to surfing safely and hope that we can save a few people from making mistakes that could very well result in personal disaster. After all, what would Iowa Telecom be without any users?

-Meet the guys:
Vereor
Born in Iowa City and raised in Burlington, IA and Albuquerque, NM. Spent 13 years in the military working in the fields of Nuclear Security and Electronic Warfare. Got into computer systems at Intel in the mid 90’s and gradually worked my way through Network Engineering to Network Security. Moved to Newton from Austin, Texas in September of 2008. My last job was in Network Design, Installation and Security Engineering for the Seton Family of Hospitals in Austin, Texas.

Dropped Packet
Dropped Packet started hacking on the family dairy farm in NE Iowa. He has won several awards, been published in several national magazines and been invited to speak about “Computers on the Farm” at several farm shows.  He went on to do IT and Security for some of the biggest names in sporting goods, AstroTurf, American Athletic, and Russell Corp for over 18 years.  He then moved to Newton, Iowa from Rome, GA where he works daily to help Iowa Telecom customers to survive on the Internet.

Born and raised on a small farm in rural Ohio. Joined the Army and spent 10 years in the intelligence/counter intelligence field where I got started in computer and information security. Once I was out of the military I continued working in the Information technology/Security field while broadening into more general networking and system administration duties. Currently live in Baxter, IA with my wife, two kids, cat and dog.

Born and raised in Central Iowa I have been infatuated with technology since before I can remember. Being the youngest on the crew here, a good portion of my in depth security related knowledge has come about in the past 6 months or so. I’m a gamer through and through, and I completely enjoy building new PC’s from the ground up. Among the many hats I wear are Coder, Web Design, Web Development, and Unix Admin.
